It
is the intention of the clergy, staff and lay people
of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church that funerals
performed in the church should not only be a serious
time, but a reverent act of rememberance and healing.
It is our intention, therefore, to insure that the service,
like any service of the Episcopal Church, be carried
out with solemnity and respect.
Please
contact Father Paul Williams for more information
at: 614-837-6841.
Counseling
An appointment must be made with Father Paul or
the person who will preside at the burial
service to discuss available dates and times for
the funeral and any other service ministry we can
provide.
Funeral
Coordinator
A funeral coordinator will be contacting you and providing
assistance once a tentative date has been set. The funeral
coordinator will also be present during the funeral
and, should you require them, a visitation (aka viewing) and/or
luncheon.
Ceremony
Funerals are a sacrament of the Church and must conform
to the provisions of our Book of Common Prayer. The
priest will have final approval of any special request.
Music
The church organist can play for all funerals. A guest
organist may play upon approval by the priest or in
the absence of the church organist. Musical selections
must be approved by the priest and church organist.
Reception
or Luncheon
The church's community
can be made available for a reception or luncheon
following the service. A donation to the General fund
of the church is most appropriate for this event.
Flowers
All flowers and other decorations are subject to the
approval of the priest.
